|Job Profile||Asset Manager Electrical Systems|
An asset manager requires the expertise to deliver all Electrical distribution systems as part of the Asset Maintenance team. They will also need specialist knowledge of associated equipment.
They should have the ability to create and understand complex design requirements for LV/HV AP systems and process. The ability to work through detailed specifications and system design is essential to this role.
An asset manager is responsible for providing electrical expertise for Capital Projects particularly at design, commissioning and handover stages. They must be able to deliver to a high level of competence and act as internal design consultant/advisor, providing guidance on product utilisation.
Understanding associated equipment and ensuring activity is delivered to a high standard is key to this position. This must be carried out in accordance with compliance of Safe working, Health and Safety and should comply to industry standards and procedures.
Candidates should have a recognised industry Apprenticeship and/or S/NVQ Level 3 certification or equivalent together with an HND/HNC and preferably working towards Degree level. Have or be willing to complete relevant competency requirements and be IOSH/NEBOSCH qualified.
It is also important to be able to demonstrate understanding of the relevant regulations and provide evidence of appropriate experience. If not then candidates should be willing to undertake any additional training and or qualifications to be compliant and raise technical competence.
There will be opportunities to progress to a Project/Contracts Manager role and, with relevant experience, there are further opportunities to progress into other General Manager roles within the organisation.
